Northeast Lane Update
Updated on 1/11/2010 - 8:00:00 AM PST
We regret to announce that effective January 18th, EDI Express will no longer offer service from the Northeast to the states of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Over the last year, we have watched as carriers have reduced their rates to the point that many loose millions of dollars a quarter. The rates in this short haul lane have now dropped so low that they are no longer compensatory based on our service guidelines. We have established EDI as a service carrier and as such, we will not lower our service guidelines in order to offer a “cheaper product”. This lane represents less that 1% of EDI’s total business.
EDI is committed to offering the best value for your transportation dollar. We will continue to provide you with the quickest transit times in the freight industry.
Sincerely,
Jerry Kelleher
EDI Express, Inc.
